What is a Digital Interactive Notebook (DINB)?
Digital interactive notebooks (DINBs) are virtual binders with covers, tabs, and pages that students use to organize their class notes and activities. Digital notebooks are typically created using Google Slides in a format that resembles a traditional paper spiral or composition notebook.
DINBs have a wide range of styles and include a variety of graphic organizer templates. They also typically include interactive content such as draggable diagram labeling, image captioning, digital timelines, mini-posters, and sticky note brainstorming activities.
Why Use a DINB?
DINBs allow students to easily navigate between topics and pages. Because the entire notebook is lovated in one Google Slides document, everything is always organized, neat, and can’t be lost. DINBs also provide endless options for making your content more accessible. Students can use text to speech, video captioning, adjust font sizes and colors and translate materials when they are digital.
