Basic RoundTable

The teacher provides a task to which there are multiple possible responses, and provides think time. Students take turns passing a paper and pencil, each writing one answer.

Variation 1 – Continuous RoundTable

The team does multiple rounds of RoundTable until the teacher calls, “Time’s Up.”

Variation 2 – RoundTable Consensus

Students must reach consensus before recording each answer.

Variation 3 – Simultaneous RoundTable

All four students respond simultaneously in writing to the teacher’s prompt. The teacher signals time, or students signal when they are done. Students then pass their papers one person clockwise. Students continue, adding to what was already completed until the teacher calls time again.
