Basic RoundRobin

The teacher poses a problem to which there are multiple possible responses or solutions, and provides think time. Students take turns stating responses or solutions.

Variation 1 – Single RoundRobin
In teams, each student in turn shares an idea. The RoundRobin is complete after each teammate takes one turn.

Variation 2 – Continuous RoundRobin
In teams, students take turns responding orally. Teams do multiple rounds until the teacher calls, “Time’s up.”

Variation 3 – Timed RoundRobin
In teams, each student shares for a specified period of time.

Variation 4 – Think-Write RoundRobin
Students think of their own answer, write it down, then RoundRobin share what they wrote.

Variation 5 – All Record RoundRobin
The teacher assigns a topic or question with multiple possible answers or provides a list of questions. In teams, students each in turn respond orally while all students write each response on their own paper or worksheet.

Variation 6 – All Record Consensus
In teams, students take turns stating an answer. If there is concensus, all teammates record the answer.
